Sabbathvs. SundayWorship

Keeping the Shabbat (Shabbat on Saturdays) doesn’t guarantee salvation, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Yahuah: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, when we keep the Shabbat and the Laws there intrinsic blessings in this day that we cannot begin to quantify or qualify. “You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days” (Deuteronomy 4:40). One can Worship any day that they want (including Sunday) but that does not change the command and the blessings that comes by keeping the Sabbath.

If we believe in the Bible as the sole infallible rule of your faith and practice (sola scriptura), why don’t you follow the 4th of the 10 Commandments? Can we abide by some commandments and categorically dismiss others? Why is Sunday the primary day for public worship? Do you have the right to change Yah’s (God’s) law? If the Grace of Yahusha (so-called Jesus Christ) allows you the Freedom to Worship any day of the week, do you still have to observe the Sabbath? If not when or where in the Scriptures does it gives us the authority to transfer the Sabbath from one day to another?

Have many people been heavily deceived when it comes to worshipping The Most High? Many worship on Sunday which is day 1 and not Saturday (Sabbath) which is day 7, which is the last day of the week. This is done because we don't understand nor do we read the scriptures on this topic to gain understanding. We also know that churches aren't going to teach or tell you if they know the truth about the Sabbath or not.

The day you worship is a traditional marker and identifier. We don’t have the authority to change the word of Yahuah. If you change one law can you change other laws? If you look at the fall of Satan in the Book of Isaiah, he vehemently wanted to be like Yahuah. Additionally, if we look at the creation account outlining the temptation of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, we see that Eve too wanted be like Yahuah. We have to recognize in our fallen nature we have the temptation to assume the same authority that Yah has. This is what happens when we change the worship day arbitrarily. It is our natural inclination to improve on Yahuah ways.

Exodus 31:12-17 And the YAHUAH spake unto Moses, saying, “13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Most high that doth sanctify you. 14   Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yahuah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.”

It is clear that Yah wanted all of his redeem people to observe my Sabbath. He said it will be a “sign between me and you.” There is only one King and One Kingdom rules. The Shabbat and it applies to everyone in the Kingdom. The Sabbath was entrusted to Israel but they were meant for the nations. Everyone who is a believer is commanded to observe.

The scriptures said Shabbat observance will be a marker or a sign of identification for my chosen people. Keeping the Shabbat doesn’t make you Hebrew/Jewish but to identify you as chosen people. Through the Shabbat we identify him a creator, redeemer, and sanctifier. The Sabbath is a memorial. It is a memorial that Yahuah is the Creator and Ruler of Everything, To His redemption which is a forerunner of the Messiah, To him who sanctify and makes us holy. To deny it is to say I really don’t believe that He is the Creator, Ruler, Sovereign, redeemer, or who you sanctifies. It is a big deal to Yahuah.

According to Mark 2:27 the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. It is a gift to us. It is for our welfare as a day to set a part in our identity in him. Notice that the Sabbath was not made for just the Hebrew or Jew but for man (mankind). Yahuah is a redeemer of all people according to Abraham. According to Exodus 31 it is should be perpetual. It was never intended to stop. Yahuah had no intent to change the Sabbath. Perpetual means continuing or enduring forever; everlasting. Forever denotes without ever ending; eternally. (We see that it is a sign between the children of Israel and the God of Israel forever.) History proves that post-Apostolic Christianity of the Roman Catholic Church has changed the Sabbath day to Sunday, due to them worshipping the Sun. Protestants and their primary day of worship (Sunday); rather they accept it or not, are the daughter and a by-extension of the Catholic Church.
